The target populations living in nine refugee camps, migrant communities and host villages on the Thai Myanmar border, mainly in Tak Province

Tak: Mae La, Umpiem Mai, Nu Po
Ratchaburi: Tham Hin
Kanchanaburi: Ban Don Yang

Program Description:
Sermpanya Foundation in Thailand supports community activities at the grassroots level, running mobile cinema screenings, media skills-training and producing educational and awareness raising films to benefit the lives of thousands of refugees, displaced people, migrants and local villagers living in camps and host communities along the Thai-Myanmar border.
Using the power of film to bring non-formal education, information and valuable knowledge through our mobile cinema screening network, Sermpanya Foundation raises awareness and promotes well-being through visual story telling in local languages and through participatory community activities
Objectives:
To promote and improve living conditions, specifically primary public health, vocational training, learning and education, community development and environment protection, in vulnerable communities.
To relieve poverty, suffering, hardship, and distress among vulnerable communities, with an emphasis on women and children.
To promote and support education and learning for children, students, adults, and the public benefit.
To disseminate educational tools for the benefit of the target beneficiaries.
To implement activities dedicated to the communities’ benefit.
To work in close cooperation and collaboration with other organizations and partners for the communities’ benefit.
To implement activities not linked to political considerations.
